Terms of service

1These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Haris Muzaffer Shah, a sole proprietor in India ("we", "us"), about Zoon Vaults: the apps, the web app, share links and this website. By making an account or using Zoon Vaults, you accept them. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

2Who can use Zoon Vaults

You must be 18 or older, and allowed to make this agreement where you live. An account is for one person.

3Your account

• You sign in with your email address and your account password.
• Keep your passwords and recovery keys safe. We cannot reset a vault password or open a vault, because we never have the keys. If you lose both a vault's password and its recovery key, nobody can open the files in it.
• You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.

4Your files

• Your files belong to you. You give us only the right to store, copy and transmit the encrypted data so the service works, for example to keep a second copy or to deliver a share link.
• You are responsible for having the right to store and share what you upload.
• Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take care of your data, but no storage is perfect.

5What is not allowed

• Storing or sharing anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material.
• Sharing content that infringes the rights of others.
• Using share links or ZoonDrop for malware, phishing or spam.
• Trying to break into the service or other people's accounts, or testing our security without our written permission.
• Overloading the service, for example with automated requests, or reselling it without our agreement.

We cannot see your files, but a share link publishes a file to whoever has the address. We may stop a link, or close an account, after a credible report, a valid legal order, or when we see the service being abused.

6Reports

Report illegal content or abuse in a share link to legal@zoonvaults.com, with the link. Copyright notices go to the same address. Report a security problem to support@zoonvaults.com.

Grievance officer. Haris Muzaffer Shah, legal@zoonvaults.com. We confirm a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.

7Plans and payment

• Free plan. 3 GB for three months from when you make your account. After that, your files stay and you can open, move and delete them. New uploads wait until you buy a plan.
• Paid plans have the size and price shown when you buy. Card payments on this website are handled by Dodo Payments, which sells to you as merchant of record; their terms also apply. Plans bought in the Android app are sold through Google Play under Google's terms.
• Card subscriptions renew every month or every year until you cancel. Cancel from the web app's settings. The plan runs to the end of the time you paid for.
• Bitcoin payments buy 1 to 12 months and do not renew. The price in bitcoin is fixed for 30 minutes on the payment page.
• Changing size. You can move up or down. If your files use more than the new size, they stay, and new uploads wait until you are under it.
• Price changes apply from your next renewal. We email you at least 30 days before.

8Refunds

If you are not happy, write to support@zoonvaults.com within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, and we refund it. A Bitcoin payment is refunded in bitcoin, the same amount you paid, less the network fee. Plans bought through Google Play follow Google's refund rules. The law where you live may give you more rights; these terms do not take them away.

9Ending your account

• You can stop using Zoon Vaults at any time. To delete your account, write to support@zoonvaults.com from your account's email address. We then delete your data as the privacy policy says.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we tell you first and give you time to take your files out.
• If we ever shut Zoon Vaults down, we tell you at least 60 days before, so you can take your files out.

10The service

We work to keep Zoon Vaults running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change features. If a change takes away something important that you pay for, we tell you before it happens.

11Liability

• Zoon Vaults is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those in these terms.
• We are not liable for files that cannot be opened because a password and its recovery key were lost.
• As far as the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.

12Changes to these terms

We post every change here with its date. For a change that matters, we email you at least 14 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can stop using Zoon Vaults and delete your account.

13Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, India, hear disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
